Gr Brie, the archer who accompanied Collun on his adventures in Hero’s Song Harcourt,returns to continue her story in this action-packed sequel. It fir also a lot more segmented than the first one, making it less cohesive. So I got this book off the dollar rack and didn’t realize that it was the second in a series.

Partly I like it because it has nothing to do with dystopian fiction, a genre I am getting quite tired of!

I picked this book out originally because, based on the short description on the back cover, I knew that the main character was going to be female. Oattou Novel Zrrow Trilogy Book 1. I had no idea it was a second book.


I really loved this mystical, medieval story. She bides her time in a friendly land, where she heals and finds happiness, until she finds herself summoned in her dreams to a mysterious bell tower.

If you crave a good fantasy with a dose of Irish-y mythology and that stands out from others, take a look. I ship Brie and Collun! The main character could love several people but not necessarily end up with any of them or have one be the “love of her life” so obviously. What did it serve you in the end?
