It is the only non-ficti I’ve read a chrisyian books on Vietnam prior to this one, mostly Christiann veterans accounts of their experiences. What a heavy, important project with such scope. Incredible primary source about the Vietnam War. Those who think we should have prosecuted the war more aggressively and fought to win at any cost are heard as loudly as those who protested in the streets or went to Canada or Sweden.

One of the best historical accounts of a war I’ve ever read. I really recommend reading this before you go, it gives a great, multi-perspective take on the war without being biased and propaganda-y.

I read this on the recommendation of a friend before coming to Vietnam for a few days and it really made the experience so much more meaningful and rich.
